Rising 2022 LB Aidan Vaughan decommits from Air Force
Walled Lake (Mich.) Walled Lake Western linebacker Aidan Vaughan has been one of the biggest risers in the Midwest over the last few weeks.
He entered October with only three Division I offers, all from Group of Five teams, and was committed to Air Force.
But he has picked up nine Power Five offers since Oct. 15 and announced on Halloween Sunday that he has decommitted from the Falcons.
He had committed to Air Force in August.
“I want to start by thanking all of The United States Air Force Academy coaches for believing in me and giving me the chance to play college football at the next level,” Aidan Vaughan tweeted. “Thank you for giving me the opportunity to develop not only as a player but also as a person. After talking with my family and mentors, I have decided to decommit and reopen my recruitment.”

Aidan Vaughan will likely go to a Power Five school
Since Oct. 15, Aidan Vaughan has received offers from Florida State, Illinois, Iowa, Louisville, Maryland, Minnesota, Syracuse, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Vaughan has also gone on a visit to Michigan for the Wolverines game against Northwestern.
His recruitment is going to move fairly quickly considering he plans on enrolling early.
“Recruiting the last few weeks, it’s been picking up really fast,” Aidan Vaughan told Sports Illustrated’s NoleGameday. “Things have been kind of crazy so I’m just trying to build connections with everyone, see what fits the best, and then ultimately make a decision.”
