4-star PG Daquan Davis commits to Florida State
Daquan Davis, a four-star point guard in the 2024 class, has committed to Florida State live on the On3 Recruits YouTube Channel.
The 6-foot-1 prospect is originally from Baltimore but has spent his senior year at Overtime Elite in Atlanta. He chose the Seminoles’ over Georgia Tech, but was originally committed to Providence.
Davis spoke to On3 about his decision to choose Florida State.
“Coach (Leonard) Hamilton and the rest of the coaching staff, they’re great dudes,” Davis said. “Coach Ham has sent a lot of guys to the league. He’s had a great coaching career. I really just trust him and that’s what it really came down to.”

In his own words, what type of player is Florida State getting in Davis?
“A hardworking guy that likes to win. I just want to make everyone happy, make the school happy, and bring winning back to the program, that’s all.”
Davis has a message for FSU fans.
“Let’s go win the Natty.”
According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Davis is the No. 105 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. He’s also the No. 13 point guard prospect. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
