Kansas OL Joe Krause arrested after bomb threat reported to Jayhawks football facility

Kansas offensive lineman Joe Krause was arrested following a reported bomb threat at the Jayhawks’ football facility. At the time of this report there is no confirmed connection between Krause and the bomb threat called into the Anderson Family Football Complex, per KSNT.

Krause was arrested and booked for aggravated criminal threat and cause of terror, evacuation and disruption, per a booking recap report released by KNST’s Lainey Gerber.

On Monday, police responded to a bomb threat made against the facilities and the KU Police Department later revealed no devices were found and gave the all clear at 8:01 p.m., five hours after the response.

However, police identified and arrested a suspect for making the threats but Interim Deputy Chief Damon Tucker said law enforcement will not release the suspect at this time.

Krause, who was arrested Monday, again has no confirmed connection to this incident.

As a member of the Class of 2020, Krause was not ranked, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He played his high school football in Prairie Village (Kan.) Shawnee Mission East.
