Kent State transfer DE Kameron Olds signs with Kentucky
DE Kameron Olds has signed with Kentucky from the NCAA Transfer Portal per On3’s Pete Nakos.
This comes after interest in the portal in Olds from Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and Nebraska. However, after visiting Lexington following stops in Atlanta and Lincoln, Old never made it to Oxford with this decision today.
Olds spent last season at Kent State after transferring following a pair of years at Buffalo. In total, he has made 33 collegiate appearances with the Bulls and Golden Flashes coming off of his junior year.
In total, Olds has posted 51 tackles, six sacks, and a deflection, forced fumble, and interception apiece. That includes a career-best season this fall with 42 tackles, all six of the sacks, and the deflection and pick.

With that, Olds is the No. 25 edge and No. 277 overall transfer per On3’s 2025 Top Transfer Portal Players.
Olds is now the 14th addition in the portal of this cycle for UK. They’ve also picked up IOLs Josh Braun (Arkansas) and Wallace Unamba (New Mexico), OTs Alexander Wollschlaeger (Bowling Green) and Evan Wibberly (Western Kentucky), WRs JJ Hester (Oklahoma) and Kendrick Law (Alabama), QB Zach Calzada (Incarnate Word), TE Henry Boyer (Illinois), RB Dante Dowdell (Nebraska), DL Jaden Williams (Wyoming), and CB Kevis Thomas (Maryland). He’s also the third defensive end they’ve added along with Sam Greene (USC) and Landyn Watson (Marshall).
This comes amidst a lot of roster turnover in the bluegrass. That includes 22 players who have transferred out of the program with 10 of those having committed or signed elsewhere already.
