MSU hosted the 6-foot-3, 215-pounder for an official visit on Dec 8. The Spartans also hired Minnesota defensive coordinator Joe Rossi — Pretzlaff’s lead recruiter at UM — to the same position. The combination helped MSU flip the linebacker, keeping him in his home state.
“I think Coach Smith has a great vision for the future of MSU and is a genuine coach,” Preztlaff told SpartanMag following his OV. “I am going to be honest I really like Coach Smith’s way of coaching and plan for the future.”
