4-star PF Eric Paymon Jr. commits to Mississippi State
Eric Paymon Jr., a four-star prospect in the 2024 class, has committed to Chris Jans and Mississippi State.
The 6-foot-9, 215-pound power forward out of Raymond High School (MS) chose the Bulldogs over offers from TCU, Ole Miss, Jackson State, Georgia State, and others.
Paymon discussed his decision with On3.
“(I chose Mississippi State) because of the great coaching staff, the players, and the environment. I feel like its a great place for me to develop and take my game to another level.”
His relationship with the coaching staff also played a role in his commitment.
“I’ve talked with the coaches a few times and they’ve been recruiting me since my 9th or 10th-grade year so I have a pretty good relationship with the staff.”
