2026 4-star RB D'Antae Sheffey commits to Syracuse Orange
State College (Pa.) 2026 four-star running back D’Antae Sheffey has committed to the Syracuse Orange.
Sheffey is the nation’s No. 177 overall prospect, No. 16 running back and No. 5 recruit from Pennsylvania in the 2026 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Busy stretch in Syracuse recruiting
Recruiting picked up for Fran Brown’s staff in late March and hasn’t slowed down. Recent commitments include Mesquite (Texas) Dallas Christian School three-star quarterback Luke Carney, Palm Bay (Fla.) Heritage 2026 four-star athlete Demetres Samuel, Jr., Leesburg (Fla.) Tavares On300 safety Izayia Williams, West Orange (N.J.) three-star wide receiver Terrell Wilfong and Pennington (N.J.) three-star defensive lineman Haleem Muhammad.

Four 2025 recruits have pledged to the Orange in April along with Muhammad and Wilfong: Philadelphia La Salle College three-star wide receiver Julian McFadden, Syracuse (N.Y.) Christian Brothers three-star offensive tackle Matthew Hawn, Roanoke (Va.) William Fleming running back Malachi Coleman and Syracuse (N.Y.) Cicero-North offensive tackle Kardiear Shepherd.
Syracuse (N.Y.) Christian Brothers three-star wideout Darien Williams and Cheltenham (Pa.) three-star EDGE Sharlandiin Strange headline the class.
