Troy beats multiple Power Four programs for 2025 EDGE Uchenyo Ojata
Troy head football coach Gerad Parker and his coaching staff scored a big win on the recruiting trail Saturday with Carmel (Ind.) High edge rusher Uchenyo Ojata announcing his commitment to the program over several Power Four offers.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Ojata also strongly considered opportunities from Indiana, West Virginia, Nebraska. He visited Troy earlier this week.

“Just the whole staff, I got know some of the staff while they were at Notre Dame and I enjoyed the campus and the tradition they have there,” Ojata said.
“It just feels like a home and family when I when I was down there.”
Ojata registered 26 tackles, two stops for loss and two sacks as a junior He is an explosive high-upside athlete that runs 4.50 in the 40-yard dash, has a 10.5 broad jump and a 4.5 shuttle to go along with his intriguing frame.
