A 6-foot-2, 285-pound recruit, Hammond is the 17th high school player in Virginia’s 2023 recruiting class. He is also one of two defensive lineman alongside Highland Springs (Va.) three-star Miles Greene.

The Cavaliers’ group ranks No. 61 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 12 in the ACC. Tappahannock (Va.) Essex three-star linebacker Kamren Robinson, the No. 434 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus, is Virginia’s highest-rated commit.
Hammond has an On3 NIL Valuation of $5.3K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
