After a thrilling overtime win over Iowa in Iowa City, Wisconsin forward Tyler Wahl waved goodbye to the fans to taunt them after the game. The Badgers gave up an 8-0 run to the Hawkeyes to finish regulation time tied 60-60, but closed it out in overtime with a 78-75 win — giving Wahl the chance to talk some trash to their Big Ten rivals.

Wisconsin carried a one-point lead into the final seconds of the game and inbounded the ball against a full court denial by the Hawkeyes. The Iowa defense lost track of their defense on the opposite side of the court and gave up a free dunk to Connor Essegian as they took a three-point lead with five seconds remaining.

Iowa had no timeouts remaining and attempted to get a good shot to end the overtime in a tie — leading to a long heave from Patrick McCaffery that nearly went down. Unfortunately for Iowa, the shot didn’t fall and Wahl made sure to let the fans know who was ahead on the scoreboard at the end.
Wahl certainly put up a great effort in the victory on Sunday night, finishing with 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists. The Badgers are now 8-2 on the season with a 2-0 start to conference play after the win. For Iowa, the loss was their debut in conference play this season as they fall to 7-3 on the year.
