New Jersey High School Football: No. 10 Don Bosco Prep beats Bergen Catholic to reach final
No. 10 nationally ranked Don Bosco Prep is heading back to the NJSIAA Non-Public A state championship game next Friday at MetLife Stadium, but won’t have to face their adversaries from last year.
That’s because the Ironmen (11-0) were able to knock out Bergen Catholic in the state semifinals at home as they were able to put on a defensive masterpiece in a 31-17 win. The loss for the Crusaders stops four consecutive years of Bergen Catholic winning the Non-Public A state championship.
With the victory, the Ironmen move into next week’s final against St. Joseph Regional, which defeated St. Peter’s Prep, 25-21, in the opposite semifinal.
