Collin Sadler injury update: Clemson OL carted off field vs. SMU
Clemson redshirt junior OL Collin Sadler was carted off the field early in the fourth quarter against SMU on Saturday. His right leg was put in an air-cast.
Sadler has started all seven games for the Tigers this season at left guard. Saturday marked his 13th start overall over his four-year career at Clemson.
At the time Sadler was carted off, Clemson trailed SMU 29-17 with 11 minutes remaining in the game. The Tigers however converted a 4th & 20 for a 23-yard touchdown pass from backup quarterback Chris Vizzina to wide receiver Tristan Smith to make it a 29-24 game with 6:44 remaining. If the score holds, the Tigers would fall to a disappointing 3-4 record on the season after opening the year with College Football Playoff aspirations.

It would also mark Clemson‘s fourth loss in its last five home games. Head coach Dabo Swinney touched on these home struggles earlier this week.
“Yeah, we’ve stunk. I mean we’ve lost three out of our last four games at home,” Swinney said. “I know last year was a different team, but this team, we’ve not done well. You’ve got to (give credit); they’re good teams.”
