Maryland lands highly sought-after Transfer Portal offensive tackle Rahtrel Perry
Central Connecticut State offensive Rahtrel Perry is tranferring Maryland.
The 6-foot-6, 296-pound Perry chose the Terrapins over Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Florida State, Florida and Ohio State. He visited all those campuses.
“After having a talk with Coach Locks I could tell he’s a prestigious coach,” Perry told On3. “He had a great history back at Alabama. I could tell the love and passion behind the sport and know I could play for him.”
The On3 Industry tabs Perry as the No. 17 ranked offensive tackle in the Transfer Portal and No. 216 prospect overall. Maryland was one of his first visits Perry took back in December.

“It was the culture as well,” Perry said. “Great people over there. Great coaching staff. I had an instant connection with the o-line coach and everyone on that staff.”
Perry adds to a Maryland transfer class that also includes former Florida State edge rusher DD Holmes and Arkansas State cornerback transfer Dontay Joyner.
