Scooby Williams injury update: Texas A&M LB's status vs. Auburn revealed on Friday availability report
The SEC has some massive matchups this weekend with conference play essentially beginning on Saturday. That includes a game down in College Station with Auburn vs. No. 9 Texas A&M, with the Tigers playing their second game of league play while the Aggies are hosting their first of the fall.
Coming into tomorrow’s kickoff, these teams have had two updates already to their availability report provided by the Southeastern Conference. Now, on the evening before the game, the third and final one has been released for Auburn and A&M.
Here’s the final update to the SEC Availability Report for Auburn vs. Texas A&M for tomorrow afternoon at Kyle Field. Scooby Williams remains questionable for the Aggies.
Auburn Tigers
- WR Horatio Fields – Out
- RB Durell Robinson – Out
Texas A&M Aggies
- DB Bryce Anderson – Out
- LB Scooby Williams – Questionable
We already saw some changes to this report from Wednesday to Thursday. All of those came from the Tigers with WR Malcolm Simmons, DB Kaleb Harris, RB Jeremiah Cobb, and CB Jay Crawford all going from probable to off the report altogether. No one else’s statuses then changed with two players out and two players questionable to Auburn and one of those apiece for Texas A&M.

The most notable player whose status had been uncertain yet was Scooby Williams, the senior linebacker for the Aggies. Williams has a dozen tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, and an interception through the first three games for the defense at A&M.
This is a key game for both teams, with Auburn already having a conference loss on the road last weekend in Norman while Texas A&M is making their league play debut on Saturday. It’s now just a matter of which program gets their first win of the season within the SEC.
