3-star safety Damani Dent sets commitment date for Oct. 18
Jacksonville (Fla.) Terry Parker safety Damani Dent took an official visit to see Michigan three weeks ago. And now the three-star safety has set a commitment date: October 18.
Dent originally scheduled his commitment for October 10, but he tweeted out last Thursday that was no longer the case.
A week later, his commitment is scheduled again. The 6-foot, 175-pound Dent committed to Akron in April. But he re-opened his recruitment in August after attending a camp at Oregon and receiving an offer from the Ducks. That same day, he received an offer from Michigan, and he tripped out to Ann Arbor a little more than a month later.

As a junior last season at Terry Parker High, Dent notched 58 tackles and three interceptions. He also caught 17 passes for 321 yards and two touchdowns.
This season, he has played primarily on the defensive side of the ball, where he’s totaled 30 tackles and two passes defended through four games.
