Bryan Bresee blocks Giants game-tying field goal in closing seconds to secure Saints win
New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Bryan Bresee saved the game Sunday against the Giants. With New York set to attempt the potential game-tying field goal, Bresee burst through the rush to get a hand on the kick, which fell short as the Saints hung on for the 14-11 victory.
The second-year player out of Clemson showed off his athleticism, hopping over blockers just in time to tip the ball. You can view the moment below.
Bresee was a first-round pick to the Saints in the 2023 NFL Draft. He played a reserve role as a rookie but has started eight of of 13 games so far this season.

He’s made impressive strides from his first to second year, recording 18 tackles (six for loss), 6.5 sacks and a forced fumble in 2024. Now he can add a blocked kick to the list as he’ll look to continue to build on this strong campaign to close out the year.
With the win, the Saints improved to 5-8 on the season with four more games remaining. They entered Sunday’s game with a slim chance at making the postseason, but at least kept themselves alive with the victory.
Next up for New Orleans is a matchup against the Washington Commanders at 1 p.m. ET on Dec. 15.
