Ashton Stamps looked like one of the top defensive backs on hand at LSU's elite skills camp and walked away with an offer after his showing over the course of both days. The Metairie (La.) Archbishop Rummel product worked at corner and safety and looked natural at both spots. Stamps brings a nice combination of athleticism, length, functional movement and technical cover skills.

The 6-foot, 182-pound cornerback from Metairie (La.) Rummel continues to take strides in his game and rides his strong offseason into June. Stamps turned the eyes of the LSU staff earlier this month and was even better on Thursday. He was explosive out of his breaks and closed on passes in a hurry underneath and in the middle of the field. He’s a willing tackler and equally as stout on the back end. Stamps is a major stock-up candidate out of The Boot.

Stamps checks in at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds and was sharp in coverage and kept receivers in front of him throughout the tournament. He had a handful of breakups and nearly came away with a few picks.
