Christian Gray Scouting Reports
Christian Gray a big riser in updated On300
7/18/22The Notre Dame commitment climbed to No. 79 from No. 150 in the On300. Gray is a very instinctive cover corner with the ability to stay attached, despite not being a blazer. The 6-foot-0.5, 175 pound prospect is rarely out of position. His reactive quickness and feel creates a high number of pass break-ups and plays on the ball. Gray also displays excellent timing on pass-break-ups and working into the vision of wide receivers. He jumps routes with instinct, eye discipline and a feel for timing. On3 projects Gray as a boundary corner at the next level, as well as a playmaker in the run and pass game.
Christian Gray Scouting Summary
Primary6/21/22High-hipped cover corner who lives in phase with receivers that has a knack for finding the football and notching countless pass breakups. Pivotal playmaking defender for a historically talented high school in De Smet Jesuit. Consistently around the football and does a tremendous job playing through receivers hands to make plays on the ball. Embraced matchups against top wide receivers. Solid build that has room to grow including excellent length in his arms. Stands at 6-foot-0.5 and 175 pounds. Has plus length for the position, with a 32-inch arm. Also ran an electronically-timed 4.65 second 40 and jumped a 31.5-inch vertical as well as a 10-foot broad jump. Top-end speed is above average for the position. Not a true burner, but makes up for it with his instincts and length. Boundary corner projection who projects a “passes defended” fiend at the next level. Younger for the cycle, turning 18 years-old in May of his senior year.
