CJ Daniels arrived at Liberty as a three-star recruit coming out of Lilburn (Georgia) Parkview High School. Daniels finished his senior year at Parkview with 1,411 receiving yards on 93 receptions for 15 touchdowns. Daniels saw action in all 11 games as a true freshman, recording 11 receptions for 220 yards and three touchdowns. He went on to rank second on the team in 2021 with 37 receptions for 629 yards and lead the team with seven touchdown receptions. He battled injuries in 2022 but went on top 800 receiving yards during the 2023 regular season. He scored touchdowns in eight of Liberty's 12 regular season games.
