Daylen Everette Scouting Reports

3 Reports
  1. Daylen Everette evaluation at Under Armour All-America Game

    Charles Power1/2/22

Georgia signee Daylen Everette entered as with some unknowns despite the lofty ranking. We didn’t see Everette targeted too much in coverage over his last two seasons at IMG Academy, so we were looking forward to seeing how he fared at Under Armour. It was a mixed bag for Everette. He was defending some of the best receivers in the cycle, but showed the need to improve his fluidity in turning to run in downfield coverage. Still, Everette had a solid week and has some nice length for the position.

  2. Daylen Everette Scouting Summary

    Primary
    Charles Power10/27/21

Polished corner who combines high-end athleticism and length. Registers as one of the best athletes among top cornerback prospects in the 2022 cycle. Tested as the fastest player on IMG Academy’s roster prior to the 2021 season, running a 4.44-second electronically-timed 40-yard dash. Pairs that athleticism with size at 6-foot-1, 190 pounds and advanced length for the position with 33-inch arms. Uses his speed to stay in-phase while defending downfield routes. Opens up his hips to turn and run and shows the ability to turn and track the ball. Not tested often while playing on a strong IMG defense, but had considerable ball production prior to his transfer with 11 interceptions as a sophomore.

  3. Daylen Everette rated as a five-star in initial On300

    Charles Power8/1/21

Daylen Everette brings a top-notch combination of size, length and athleticism to the table at corner. He tested as the fasted player on IMG Academy’s roster in the offseason, running a 4.45 electronically-timed 40-yard dash. The Norfolk, Va.. native is battle-tested facing a national schedule and practicing against some of the nation’s top receivers at IMG. He impressed as a junior despite not being tested often. We also liked what we saw from Everette in some of IMG’s preseason scrimmages where he faced off with Alabama signee Ja’Corey Brooks and Florida State signee Malik McClain.
