Devin Moore Scouting Reports
Devin Brown a top performer at All-American Bowl
1/8/22We thought Devin Moore had the best week of the defensive backs at the All-American Bowl. The Florida signee is a bigger player in the secondary at 6-foot-1.5, 190 pounds. Moore excelled as a cover safety. He’s a natural mover with good speed for the position, to go with the size. The Gator signee made a number of plays on the ball throughout the week. We also saw him come down with an interception in the game. He currently ranks as the no. 84 overall prospect in the On300 and played up to the ranking.
Devin Moore Scouting Summary
Primary12/14/21Physically-gifted defensive back with outstanding stature to go with fluidity and athleticism. Looks to be legitimately taller than 6-foot-2. Pairs that size with long speed, running a 11.1 in the 100 meters as a junior. Transfers the speed over to the field in a functional way. A coordinated, smooth mover in coverage. Plays cornerback for his high school and could line up there or at safety. Looks like a bigger wide receiver playing defensive back. Shows instincts in coverage, closing quickly as a cover-down defender and turning to make plays on the ball downfield. Returned a few kicks for touchdowns as a senior. Also played wide receiver sparingly. Looks to have a high upside.
Versatile Notre Dame commit up nearly 30 spots in On300
11/22/21The 6-foot-3 Notre Dame verbal jumps 28 spots with big-time versatility showing up on senior tape. The early graduate is long, and rangy at corner on senior tape. He has the ability to stay attached, along with the arm length to create vision issues for receivers. He uses his combination of length and timing to defend 50-50 balls with PBUs. On3 projects at safety, but there is enough quality tape at corner to get a look there in South Bend. Moore has been very active on senior tape. He’s shown the ability to dislodge the ball from ball carries.
