James Brown is an energy guy, a high motor big, you know what you are going to get from him. He is a natural lefty but shoots right-handed. He lacks touch on the jump shot, but he finishes well around the basket. Brown runs well and quickly switches ends of the floor. While not super bouncy, he is a fluid athlete, able to move his feet and open his hips. Brown will need to continue adding weight. He is an active rebounder in and out of his area. Would like to see him develop a go-to on the block, but he moves well off the ball and is a good roll guy in screens. He can handle the ball in the open floor, pushing the break off a turnover that will need to tighten in the half court. He is a good rim protector.
