Jordan Butler is the son of Casie and John Butler. His father is his coach at Greenville (South Carolina) Christ Church Episcopal. His mother played college basketball at South Carolina. Butler helped the team to their first state championship as a sophomore. His brother is John Butler Jr., who played at Florida State for one season. He then declared for the 2022 NBA Draft and signed a two-way contract with the Portland Trail Blazers.
