Reescano flashes contact balance in the Polynesian Bowl
1/20/23Ole Miss running back signee Kedrick Reescano was the top-ranked runner at the Polynesian Bowl and looked the part. The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder showed outstanding contact balance, bouncing off of defenders and breaking a number of tackles. Along with Alabama signee Justice Haynes, Reescano looks like one of the better runners on contact in the 2023 cycle. We also saw the New Caney (Texas) High product flash some encouraging receiving skills throughout the game.

Primary9/22/22Compact, strong runner with lateral agility and developing athleticism that points to a translatable skill set. Owns a stout, muscular build at around 5-foot-11, 190 pounds. One of the best running backs on contact in the 2023 cycle. Made a jump in on-field explosion from his junior to senior years. That progress may have been indicated by his junior track season, as his finished second in the state with a triple jump over 48 feet. Runs with burst and pace once at the second level. Shows outstanding lateral agility with the ability to make defenders miss with quick jabs and jump cuts. Runs with a strong base. Bounces off defenders at the second level. Has the leg drive to run through arm tackles. Flashes an effective stiff arm. Adds versatility as a pass catcher out of the backfield. Turned in a strong senior season rushing for 1,849 yards (8.3 yards per carry) and 31 touchdowns along with 249 receiving yards and four more scores in 12 games.
