2026 EDGE Kamdon Gillespie commits to West Virginia
Cornelius (N.C.) Mooresville three-star EDGE Kamdon Gillespie has found a new home, committing to West Virginia on Monday afternoon.
A one-time Virginia Tech commit, he pledged to the Hokies on June 14 but backed off that decision earlier this month when head coach Brent Pry was fired. The Mountaineers have been pushing hard since then and ultimately landed one of their top remaining targets in the class.
Gillespie is the No. 892 overall prospect and No. 85 EDGE in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 35 player in North Carolina.
