4-star RB Kory Amachree commits to Kansas Jayhawks
Last week, Lansing (Mich.) Haslett four-star running back Kory Amachree announced that he was down to Duke, Harvard, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan State and Pitt in his recruitment.
Less than a week later, he’s off the board to the Jayhawks, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. His decision comes after a recent official visit with the Hoosiers, as well as one to Kansas last month.
The 6-foot, 195-pounder is the No. 367 overall prospect and No. 26 RB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 player in Michigan.
On3 ranks him higher than other recruiting services. According to the On300, Amachree is the No. 244 recruit overall, No. 22 RB and No. 4 player in Michigan.

Playing in just six games as a junior, Amachree still managed to compile 1,394 total yards and 19 touchdowns. Haslett won eight games last season and finished as a top-75 team in the state, per the On3 Composite Rankings.
He becomes the 16th commitment for the Jayhawks this cycle, joining a class headlined by fellow four-star James Dunnigan Jr.. Prior to Amarchee’s commitment, KU’s class ranked just outside the top 25 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
