Louisville lands commitment from 4-star safety Jayden McGregory
Des Moines (Iowa) Valley four-star safety Jayden McGregory announced his commitment to Louisville on Monday.
The 6-foot-2, 182-pound McGregory chose the Cardinals over his other top schools in Minnesota and Missouri.
McGregory ranks as the nation’s No. 24 safety and No. 294 prospect overall. He becomes commit No. 21 for head coach Jeff Brohm and Louisville in the 2026 class.
Defensive coordinator Ron English was the lead recruiter.
“Coach English has been around a long time,” McGregory said. “He’s developed a lot of safeties and put a lot of safeties in the league. And they recently got Vince (Marrow). I’ve been talking to him a lot and he’s a key person.”
McGregory becomes a key prospect in the Louisville class that also includes our-stars in offensive tackle Jarvis Strickland, cornerback Jaydin Broadnax, quarterback Briggs Cherry, athlete Payton Cook and running back Evan Hampton. He has always spoken highly of the Cardinals program.
