Miami adds Rivals four-star LB Karsten Busch to 2026 recruiting class
Louisville (Ky.) St. Xavier four-star linebacker Karsten Busch announced his commitment to Miami on Wednesday during a live broadcast on the Rivals YouTube page.
A former Louisville commit, the 6-foot-2, 221-pound Busch also strongly considered Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.
“The people in the program,” Busch said. “Miami is not just warm weather and sunshine, has a very good coaching staff consisting of hard-working coaches who love football.”

Busch adds to a Miami class that Rivals previously ranked No. 8 nationally. Rivals ranks him the No. 19 linebacker in the country.
“My favorite thing about them is the energy they bring,” Busch said. “On the visit they really made it fun and entertaining.
“It’s a place full of opportunity, consistent winning football team with a top defense every year. I think the program is just scratching the surface on what’s to come.”
Busch took his official visit to Coral Gables over the weekend.
“Very cool campus and city is great for opportunities off the field,” Busch said.
