Portal: Noah Carter has high majors across the country in contact
It has only been a day since Northern Iowa transfer Noah Carter put his name in the portal. Already, some big-name programs have started to reach out. The 6-foot-6, 230-pound forward was named second-team All-Missouri Valley this season.
In 2021-22, Carter was Northern Iowa’s second-leading scorer (15.0) and third-leading rebounder (4.1). Originally from Dubuque (IA) Senior High he has scored 876 points and won 55 games in his three seasons with the Panthers.
On3 caught up with Carter to see which schools have reached out to him since going into the portal.
“Ole Miss, Arkansas, Virginia Tech, BYU, Oklahoma, Florida, Texas Tech, Missouri, and Marquette,” Carter said.

Coming out of Dubuque, Carter chose Northern Iowa over claimed offers from Wofford, North Dakota, Drake, Lehigh, and North Dakota.
While Noah Carter entered the transfer portal last season, he returned to Northern Iowa. This transfer will be Carter’s first, with a COVID year, plus one year remaining.
