Top 2026 recruit Aaliah Spaight commits to Texas
Top 2026 recruit Aaliah “Lizzy” Spaight has committed to Texas, she announced. Spaight, a Las Vegas (NV) native, is the Longhorns’ second 2026 commit following Amalia Holguin’s announcement.
The 5-7 point guard plays for Bishop Gorman (NV) and averaged 19.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 3.8 steals per game this past season.

“As far as the coaching staff, [making sure] they’re good people,” Spaight previously said of factors in her decision. “You know, the type of mindset that they bring to the program and that they want to instill.”
Spaight chose Texas over LSU, South Carolina, Texas Tech, North Carolina, Arizona State, Arizona, Rutgers, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.
“I’d describe myself as someone who can do whatever the coach needs,” Spaight said.
