Arkansas basketball updated roster tracker
The Arkansas basketball team is working to finalize its roster for next season, and a bunch of things have changed in the last few months in regards to the Razorbacks’ roster.
The Hogs had roster attrition, as six Razorbacks made their decisions to enter the transfer portal. The three main names people will know are Karter Knox (transferred to Louisville), Malique Ewin (undecided, awaiting waiver) and DJ Wagner (transferred to Maryland).
That attrition also includes the losses of Nick Pringle and Trevon Brazile, who are both out of eligibility and cannot return to the college game. Brazile is in the NBA Draft and has been projected to go somewhere in the second round.
Arkansas has four incoming freshman, and all four have signed with Arkansas. Five-star guard Jordan Smith Jr., along with four-stars wings JJ Andrews and Abdou Toure and four-star forward Miikka Muurinen will be on the roster next year as true freshman.
Another name that made his announcement on Sunday was Maper Maker, a center who was a four-star prospect in the class of 2025 and played at Bella Vista Prep. He chose Arkansas over Memphis, and projects to be an end-of-the-bench piece for the Razorbacks next season.
Meleek Thomas and Billy Richmond III are both in the NBA Draft, but both have retained their eligibility and a return to Arkansas could be in the works. Wednesday, May 27 at 11:59 p.m. is the final deadline to withdraw from the draft and return to college, so decisions on that front should come this week.
