Former Notre Dame infielder Addison Amaral headed to Oregon
Former Notre Dame standout, Addison Amaral, will take her talents to Oregon. Amaral was a two-year starter for the Fighting Irish and is a two-time All-ACC performer.
Amaral led the team in most measurable offensive categories this season. Those include batting average, runs, hits, doubles, home runs, RBI, total bases, slugging percentage, walks, on-base percentage, and sacrifice flies. Specifically, she hit .365 this season with nine home runs and 43 RBIs.
As a freshman in 2024, Amaral was both part of the All-Rookie team in the ACC but also was a second-team all-conference selection. She finished just one home run and two RBI short of the program’s record for a freshman. This year, she was a third-team All-ACC selection and was named Second Team NFCA All-Region.

Amaral has improved each of her first two years and should most certainly continue that feat offensively over the next two years as well. Amaral fills a need along the Oregon infield, which returns everyone but former Gold Glover Paige Sinicki. Amaral joins Elon Butler as two huge transfer portal additions for the Ducks.
