Four-star May Weis joins South Carolina 2027 recruiting class
Ashley Chastain was busy this past weekend building her bullpen for the future. After adding four-star righty Kaysen Warehime, the Gamecocks added four-star lefty May Weis.
“What really stood out to me about USC was the coaching staff and the culture of the program,” Weis said. “What Coach Ash and the rest of the staff are building at USC is something truly special, and I knew right away I wanted to be a part of it.”

Weis brings the lefty arm to the class with command in multiple areas of the zone. She is a cerebral pitcher who knows how to study opponents’ swings and has the ability to tunnel her pitches and change planes in an at-bat.
The Atlanta native plays at Riverwood International Charter School, where she’s also a high-level basketball player and with the Birmingham Thunderbolts 18u Premier team.
