Texas Tech announces signing of Cal catcher Lagi Quiroga
Texas Tech announced that former Cal catcher Lagi Quiroga has joined their massive transfer class. Quiroga joins Kaitlyn Terry, Mia Williams, Jazzy Burns, Desirae Spearman and Jackie Lis in the group headed to Lubbock.
Quiroga hit .346 with 13 doubles, 1 triple, 12 home runs and 44 RBI for the Bears this past season. She has homered 28 times in her career and saw her average rise .050 from .296 as a freshman. The rising junior has started 109 games in her first two years, most behind the plate, but is athletic enough to play in other spots.
