Dominique Easley among 27 UF football players in fall commencement

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida’s fall commencement ceremonies this weekend will include 38 current and former Gator student-athletes among almost 4,000 graduates. A total of 27 UF football players will earn their degrees or certificates.

That group includes former Florida defensive lineman Dominique Easley (2010-13), who was a first-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, won Super Bowl XLIX with the New England Patriots and played five years in the league (2014-18).

Tommy Domain, Taylor Spierto and Caleb Rillos are three of six UF athletes that completing their master’s degrees (Erin Engel – volleyball, Ashley Klingenberg – cross country/track, Michala Magee -gymnastics), while Alfonzo Allen, Hayden Hansen, Scott Isacks and J.Michael Sturdivant are four of eight Gators graduating cum laude (Ben Cote – swimming, Allison Drummond – cross country/track, Kara Hammock – softball and Fisher Jameson – baseball).

On3 All-American Jake Slaughter is one of two fall graduates to earn All-America honors, along with UF softball’s Kendry Falby. Falby won the 2024 and 2025 Rawlings Gold Glove Award (center field).

Eight Gators claim master’s doctor’s degrees this weekend and 22 earn undergraduate degrees. In addition, 10 receive graduate or undergrad certificates and 30 collected SEC Academic Honor Roll accolades.
