Gators get commitment from sleeper OL Enoch Wangoy
The Florida Gators landed a surprise commitment Saturday night from sleeper offensive tackle Enoch Wangoy of Jacksonville (Fla.) Zarephath Academy.
He claimed recent offers from programs such as Auburn and Syracuse.
Wangoy, listed at 6-foot-7 and 314 pounds, is a native of Great Britain who moved to the United States to play basketball. But he gave football a try and after only one season got the attention of several programs — including Florida.
He visited the Gators on Saturday.
Wangoy is commitment No. 5 in the 2025 class for the Gators, who currently have the No. 13 class in the country. Florida signed another offensive lineman from Europe in the 2024 class — Noel Portnjagin.

Per sources, the Florida staff believes Wangoy has a unique skillset to accompany his impressive frame. There is some belief he is in the mold of a couple offensive linemen from recent classes — Lucas Simmons (Florida State) and Favour Edwin (Auburn). Simmons is a native of Sweden.
Wangoy’s most impressive measurement might be his 86.25-inch wing span. He has 35-inch arms.
Wangoy is Florida’s second offensive line commit for 2025; he joins 4-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph of Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County in the class. Joseph committed to the Gators in February.
