Top-100 defender Adarius Hayes signing with Miami over Florida
Under Armour All-American linebacker Adarius Hayes is not headed to Florida after all.
Hayes, a 4-star prospect at Largo (Fla.) High, is instead signing with the University of Miami. He had been teamed up with UF, his childhood-favorite school, since January.
However, today’s decision should not come as much of a surprise.
The Hurricanes are fresh off receiving an official visit and also took a commanding lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Even after Hayes committed to the Gators, Miami received several visits and remained in the picture. That was especially the case during the fall.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Hayes is the No. 7 linebacker and No. 77 prospect regardless of position. He is also a top-15 prospect in the state of Florida.

The Gators, however, still have one of the best linebacker classes with Myles Graham and Aaron Chiles.
Also, this move was expected on the Florida side. Communication stopped taking place about 24 hours ago.
And like Hayes, those linebackers are committed to play in the Under Armour All-America Game.
Additional offers on the table for Hayes include Georgia, Ohio State, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Auburn.
