Georgia flips 2025 DB Rasean Dinkins from Georgia Tech
Rasean Dinkins was already set to play collegiately in the Peach State, having committed to Georgia Tech in June, but on Monday, he opted for another option close to home, flipping his pledge to the Georgia Bulldogs.
A product of Warner Robins High School, the 5-foot-10 and a half, 185 pound safety becomes the twenty-third member of the Class of 2025 for Georgia.
Dinkins is also the fifth defensive back of the cycle for the Dawgs, joining Jontae Gilbert, Todd Robinson, and Jaylan Morgan on the list.
The Bulldogs had long been in communication with Dinkins, but it took until earlier this season for an offer to come through.
“I’m really just grateful that they offered,” Dinkins told DawgsHQ’s Jeremy Johnson of receiving the news in September. “I’ve been working a lot for this and it finally became a reality…I got a text from coach T-Rob and he was asking me if I could make a call so that we could talk about a few things. I left my class and went to my coach’s room and after talking for a minute he told me that I had an offer. When he said that, there was a lot of excitement. My coach just started running around, jumping around, and stuff like that.”

Even before that news came, however, it was clear that his interest in the Bulldogs was substantial.
“I’m considering Georgia a lot, playing in their program prepares you for anything,” Dinkins said back in May. “The education is good, the football is good and the coaches push you. I feel like that’s something that I really need.”
Rasean Dinkins currently ranks as the No. 346 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. He is the nation’s No. 33 safety and No. 47 overall prospect in the state of Georgia per the same metric.
He is also the high school teammate of five-star prospect and Georgia commit Isaiah Gibson, the nation’s No. 1 EDGE.
