Hannah Stuelke selected to the 2025 USA Women’s AmeriCup Team

Swap out the black and gold for some red, white and blue. USA Basketball announced their roster for the 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup and Iowa forward Hannah Stuelke is one of 12 players that will make the trip to Santiago, Chile.

The 12-player roster includes Raegan Beers (Oklahoma), Mikayla Blakes (Vanderbilt), Madison Booker (Texas), Audi Crooks (Iowa State), Joyce Edwards (South Carolina), Hannah Hidalgo (Notre Dame), Flau’jae Johnson (LSU), Gianna Kneepkens (UCLA), Olivia Miles (TCU), Kennedy Smith (USC), Hannah Stuelke (Iowa) and Grace VanSlooten (Michigan State).

Beers, Crooks, Johnson, Kneepkens and Stuelke will be making their competitive debuts with USA Basketball. 

Kara Lawson (Duke University) will serve as head coach, while DeLisha Milton-Jones (Old Dominion University) and Jennie Baranczyk (University of Oklahoma) are both assistant coaches.

The 2025 USA Women’s AmeriCup Team will open Group B with host nation Chile, followed by Colombia, Puerto Rico and Mexico, while the entirety of the tournament runs from June 28-July 6. The winner of the 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup will earn a berth to the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup, set to be held in Berlin next summer. 

As a junior for the Hawkeyes last season, Stuelke averaged 12.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 27.5 minutes per game. In three years at Iowa, Hannah has accumulated 1,136 points, 621 rebounds, 135 assists, 73 steals and 36 blocks. She has the second-most points scored in a game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, putting up 47 points against Penn State as a sophomore.

Iowa head coach Jan Jensen took to Twitter to share her excitement for Stuelke.
