Jezierski makes college decision
Defensive lineman Sawyer Jezierski has made his college decision. After an official visit to Iowa City this past weekend, the 6-foot-4, 275-pound Minnesota native officially announced his verbal commitment to the Hawkeyes today.
A three-star prospect, Jezierski chose Iowa over scholarship offers from Boston College, Kansas State, Wyoming, Washington State, Army, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, and South Dakota State.
“What made up my mind about Iowa was the genuine relationships I built with the coaching staff,” Jezierski told HawkeyeReport.com. “On top of that, the culture, development, and tradition at Iowa just felt like the right fit for me.”
As a junior, he was a disruptive force on the interior of the defensive line for Edina, racking up 21 tackles for loss in nine games played.

Overall, Jezierski is commitment No. 10 for the Hawkeyes in the Class of 2026 as he joins offensive linemen Carson Nielsen, Hudson Parliament, Gene Riordan, Owen Linder, and Colin Whitters, quarterback Cash Herrera, wide receivers Brody Schaffer and Diondre Smith, and defensive back Marcello Vitti on Iowa’s list.
