Rising '23 OT Chris Terek looking to make Kentucky visit

Since the month of May began two weeks ago, Chris Terek has pulled in a dozen Divison I scholarship offers — one of them coming from the Kentucky Wildcats.

Terek was one of the many high school recruits who received an offer from the UK during the week. Kentucky associate head coach Vince Marrow was the one who extended an offer on Thursday. Terek is a 6-foot-6, 295-pound offensive tackle out of Glen Ellyn, IL who exploded onto the midwest recruiting scene. He transformed his body over the last year, dropping around 50 pounds.

On3 does not currently have Terek ranked, although both 247Sports and Rivals consider him as a three-star recruit.

Along with Kentucky, he’s picked up scholarships from the likes of Missouri, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Vanderbilt, Iowa State, and Vanderbilt this month. Terek previously held offers from schools such as Kansas and Duke along with several non-Power 5 programs. Despite all this new attention, an early frontrunner has already been established in Iowa, which is perceived as the favorite going into the summer.

Terek has already locked in an official visit to check out the Hawkeyes in June, he tells KSR. He’ll also make an official visit to Wisconsin in June and is in the midst of scheduling one for Michigan. When asked if he’ll take an OV to Kentucky, Terek said he is “definitely” going to try and get down to Lexington.

Iowa and Wisconsin have been on Terek the longest, he recently told Rivals‘ Clint Cosgrove, with home state Illinois coming in shortly after. Michigan is a school that he watched the most growing up. It’s sounding like Terek will use four of his five officials on Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois before making a decision later in the summer.
