Nebraska lands RB Arnold Barnes III from New Orleans
The Nebraska staff has been hitting the recruiting trail and things are paying off for them now. One of the first players Mickey Joseph and his staff offered was Arnold Barnes III from New Orleans (Louisiana) KIPP Booker T. Washington, and Barnes III is now the 15th known member of the 2023 recruiting class for Nebraska.
Barnes was committed to Tulsa at the time Nebraska offered. Barnes officially visited Lincoln the weekend of September 30.

The Husker staff might have seen things slipping away with Barnes when he officially visited Iowa last weekend. But just a day after returning home from Iowa City, Barnes announced over social media that he has committed to Nebraska.
Barnes fills a significant void in the recruiting class for Nebraska at running back. Barnes will join Ajay Allen from Monroe (La.) Neville, who signed with Nebraska in the class of 2022 and saw time as a true freshman before an injury ended his season.
