UNC Flips Four-Star TE Carson Sneed from Tennessee
Four-star tight end Carson Sneed has switched his commitment from home state Tennessee to North Carolina, he announced on Friday.
Sneed, a 6-foot-6, 240-pounder from Nashville (Tenn.) Donelson Christian Academy, had been committed to Tennessee for a year. Despite that, he visited several other schools during the spring, including a March practice stop at UNC. The Tar Heels had offered in February.
In late April, Sneed’s brother, Dayton, entered the Transfer Portal and immediately committed to the Tar Heels. Dayton had been a walk-on wide receiver for the Volunteers the past two seasons.
During the subsequent weekend, the Sneed brothers officially visited UNC together. Carson would also take official visits to Ole Miss and Florida, before concluding with Tennessee during the final weekend before the Summer Dead Period.
