Notre Dame football future schedules: Updated dates, opponents through 2038
Notre Dame has caught some flack for its 2026 schedule, which it released in full on Friday. And yes, the Irish play a relatively weak slate that might not make it a College Football Playoff team if it loses more than one game.
However, while it’s impossible to project strength of schedule years in advance, Notre Dame’s future schedules under head coach Marcus Freeman look like they’ll be much stronger.

The Irish have an annual series with Clemson that starts in 2027 and runs through 2038, as well as their annual series with Navy, which has been extended through 2032. In addition to their average of five Atlantic Coast Conference games each year — a deal that expires in 2037 — the Irish have also scheduled home-and-homes with Auburn, Texas, Alabama, Florida, Michigan and newly-minted powerhouse Indiana.
Here are Notre Dame’s future schedules, from 2027 — which is complete with 12 teams — through 2038. The latest update was May 26.
