Ohio State 2026-2027 basketball roster

COLUMBUS — Ohio State finally took a step forward as a program last season. For the first time in four years, the Buckeyes made the NCAA Tournament.

But after getting knocked out in the first round back in March, the Buckeyes certainly aren’t satisfied. And to take yet another step forward as a program, they went into the transfer portal and added key pieces for next season — as well as recruited at a high level and retained some of their best returning players.

“We were able to battle to get to this point. We’re not leaving here satisfied as a program,” Diebler told reporters after the loss in March. “This was a great step for us, but we want more. We’re going to fight all offseason up until games start to build that and take it up a level. That’s what we’re motivated by right now. We have guys who will come back that are motivated by the same thing.”

So now it’s time for the Ohio State basketball program to get back to work toward making a run in the next NCAA Tournament, one that’s now expanded to 76 teams.
