Source: Sooners true freshman wing Alec Blair has left the team
On Wednesday afternoon, Oklahoma true freshman wing Alec Blair informed the basketball program that he will no longer be with the team and will instead focus on baseball. Blair informed Moser of his decision in person on Wednesday before practice, and then informed the team via text after practice.
The news comes just two days after the season opener, a game in which Blair played three minutes and scored one point. He also appeared in Oklahoma’s exhibition against Wisconsin.

Blair is a highly regarded baseball prospect, which has long been his primary sport. He will now shift his full attention to that pursuit. Coming out of high school, Blair was considered one of the top baseball prospects in the country but went undrafted after expressing his desire to attend college.
Blair was one of just nine scholarship players available for Oklahoma on Monday night, with Kai Rogers sidelined by a knee injury, Jadon Jones out with a groin injury, and Andreas Holst yet to be cleared.
