OU defenders R Mason Thomas, Gentry Williams ruled 'out' vs. Missouri
OK, Missouri is going to be as full strength as can be, while OU is missing some pivotal pieces. Time to see if the Sooners can get the job done… again.
Defensive end R Mason Thomas and cornerback Gentry Williams have been ruled out for Saturday’s contest at Owen Field.
It’s not a shock, but it is confirmation. Both Thomas and Williams began the week as questionable. That was downgraded to doubtful Friday evening and now officially out 90 minutes before kickoff.
That goes with running back Jovantae Barnes, offensive guard Heath Ozaeta and linebacker Kendel Dolby also being ruled out Friday as well.
The running back room will be one to watch. Freshman Tory Blaylock and sophomore Xavier Robinson are both battling injuries but were not on any report throughout the week.
The good news? Taylor Tatum, for one of the first times this season, was not on any report, either. Perhaps the former No. 1-ranked back for the 2024 class can make an impact?

The good news continues, except for Missouri. Somehow, someway, quarterback Beau Pribula will be the starter this afternoon.
Pribula dislocated his ankle nearly a month ago. However, because there was no structural damage, Mizzou personnel had circled this weekend as a potential return date.
He went from questionable to probable to not even being listed Friday evening. Pribula and running back Ahmad Hardy will absolutely attempt to give OU a challenge.
So that’s it. Time for talking, time for tracking injuries, after all, are done. OU is back home for the first time in nearly a month. Everything still in front of it. Can the Sooners, can Team 131 take its road success to Norman and continue to position itself for a berth in the College Football Playoff?
Editor’s Note: SoonerScoop will have full coverage of OU-Missouri all afternoon. Keep it locked right here all day.
