OU women's basketball: Sooners beat OSU in dominant fashion
No. 9 OU dominantly won Bedlam on Saturday at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, beating No. 23 Oklahoma State 92-70.
The Sooners jumped out to an early advantage, leading by as many as 12 in the first half. But OSU fought back, cutting the deficit to 42-37 at halftime. It was the third quarter that OU started to run away with the game. It outscored Oklahoma State 30-19 in the third, taking a commanding 72-56 lead to the fourth. That didn’t change in the fourth, as the Sooners finished the last 10 minutes outscoring the Cowgirls 20-14.
Senior center Raegan Beers led the way for OU, scoring a team-high 22 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. She was 10 of 14 from the field. Junior forward Sahara Williams added 18 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds. And guards Aaliyah Chavez and Zya Vann each added 15 points.

OU dominated the box score. The Sooners outshot the Cowgirls 51% to 38%. They also outrebounded OSU 44-39. And they had 50 points in the paint compared to OSU’s 28.
OU will be back in action on Monday, Dec. 22, at the Lloyd Noble Center when it faces North Carolina Central. That will be Oklahoma’s final non-conference game, starting SEC play on Jan. 1 at Texas A&M.
