Ole Miss adds in-state linebacker Bryson Walters to 2025 class
Itawamba Agricultural (Miss.) linebacker Bryson Walters made it official Friday. The 6-foot-2, 220 pound prospect announced his commitment to Ole Miss over offers from Southern Miss, Arkansas State and heavy interest from Auburn.
In the last two seasons, he has been a dominant defensive player in the state of Mississippi. The 6-foot-2, 220 pound prospect made 132 tackles, 21 quarterback hurries and 12 tackles for loss as a junior. Last season, he finished with 140 tackles and 18 tackles for loss. For his career on varsity, he’s made 272 tackles and 30 tackles for loss.
Walters is the 16th commit in Lane Kiffin’s 2025 class and the second linebacker commit with four-star Jarcoby Hopson. He is currently unranked by On3.

Bryson Walters earned an offer from Pete Golding earlier this summer.
At Ole Miss’ Friday Night Lights camp, the newest Ole Miss commit impressed the Rebels’ defensive coordinator enough to earn a spot in Kiffin’s Top 20 class. Walters has been clocked as fast as 4.6 in the 40-yard dash at several camps and plays with a bit of a throwback style.
He will plugged in to Ole Miss’ linebacker room as a true inside linebacker. He should pair nicely with underclassmen like Suntarine Perkins, TJ Dottery, Daniel Demery, Trip White, Tyler Banks and Raymond Collins.
Earlier this spring, Walters was named All 22 Elite 11 linebacker MVP at the Oxford Regional.
