Ole Miss hires former Rebels WR Donte Moncrief in player personnel and recruiting
Ole Miss Football needed a jolt of Mississippi ties in its football recruiting department after multiple offseason departures and on Friday, it got it. The news Rebel Grove reported that former Rebels wide receiver Donte Moncrief was hired for a role in the player personnel and recruiting department was confirmed Monday.
”Time To Get the Sip back in the Sip!!!,” Moncrief tweeted Friday.
Head coach Lane Kiffin confirmed the news on Monday at his press conference with reporters.
“Yeah, I think that’s great,” Kiffin said. “I love giving opportunities to former players, usually the ones that play for you, but in this case, one of the premier players in the history of school. So, that’s really good. Knows a lot of people. Good to have him around and join what I believe is a really good recruiting staff.”
Since his NFL career ended in 2020, Moncrief’s been active in Mississippi with some of the state’s top talent, including 2026 elite wide receiver and current Auburn pledge Jase Mathews.
Since personnel staffers like Alex Brown, Kelvin Bolden and Marvin Nash left this offseason, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin and general manager Billy Glasscock have been working on replacements.
